My LKQ is running effective. Don't see how every other brand might do any better, unless it gave me a sex therapeutic massage while I drove. S&J engines in Seattle. They've a 3yr unlimited mileage warrantee. Very good place. They don't even grind valves, they change them. Costs are reasonable. They have pickup points around the west. No transportation charge if you drop off your current engine there. My buddy dropped off his 455 Pontiac at one, and picked up his same engine every week later fully rebuilt. When a model new engine cost $a hundred-200 more then a rebuilt engine I cant perceive why anybody would select to use used components over new elements.

No offense to others, however I've installed LKQ engines befor, would not do it again. we now have had alot of warrantee issues with them. No jasper's both. We put three of those in one automotive before we acquired a meals one. I have heard nothing however good things about Jasper Transmissions and Engines…visit their website and you will note why. never dealt with any, but a co-worker has a Jasper 350 in his ninety four z71. Has 90k at the moment, no problems. never put in a trans, however I've completed over 100 Chevy lengthy block installs with no points over 20 yrs… I might say that's a pretty good monitor document….

To be trustworthy, I purchased a GMPP engine and have had nothing but problems with it, which is why I spent the extra money. Considering GM designed it, and built it, must be good. I've hated that engine the day I put it in. Had main coolant points instantly, has at all times leaked oil, and is all the time low on oil. I might have been better off rebuilding my previous engine. I got a Jasper in my ninety eight ok-1500, and it has been doing great. They changed my opinion of them, since their local reputation wasn't at all times that nice. Most GM crate motors come from Mexico. I refuse to ship my money there and high quality is poor at finest. My cash shall be spent regionally at small companies within the U.S..

I pulled a080 over Jasper 350 out of a 88 chevy I had about 10 years in the past, it had 305 heads and blend match rods. Yup never will buy a Jasper product( I did not purchase the motor was put in earlier than I purchased it, had 30k on when I bought truck and was pulled out at around 50k when headgasket blew ). Just installed anouther GM in my seventy two′ and it fired right up, havent pushed the vehicle but as i discovered an oil leak on my oil coller line (my fault) but should get a first drive in right this moment. Now we have a huge stock in inventory and are solely a cellphone name away. Your new crate engine is waiting for you right right here in our warehouse!
